Jane Eyre, by Charlotte Brontė, is this month's choice for book discussion. Charlotte, an orphan, grew up in the home of her cruel aunt and at a harsh charity school. Despite everything, she grows into an independent and spirited young woman and takes a position as governess at Thornfield Hall. She falls in love with her employer, Rochester, and the discovery of his terrible secret forces her to make a choice.

Skin Cancer Awareness

Daisy Hernandez with the Connecticut River Health District program will be here to instruct us about good skin care and how to recognize the signs of skin cancer.

Essential Oils

Wednesday August 23rd at 6:00PM.

Local Aromachologist Gina Sopneski will host an informational class on essential oils used for natural health solutions. Aromachology uses essential oils for behavioral, physical and emotional benefits. You'll learn natural options for everyday challenges along with methods for less common uses. Gina will provide a hands-on demonstration of the power of essential oils and take audience questions. The program is free and open to all, no registration is necessary.
